Global CO2 levels have risen to 410ppm on a consistent basis.  We are experimenting with our planetary atmosphere on a massive scale. 

The consequences are severe.

This fails the Circular Economy tenant of utilizing every input and output of our industrial systems. With the warmest years on record, increasing levels of CO2, artic weather patterns and persistent drought in many areas paint a difficult future ahead.  Reducing CO2 levels are not enough. We must capture the carbon through carbon-negative manufacturing.  Approximately 400 gigatons per year can be removed from the atmosphere with this one "simple" solution.

Planting industrial cannabis (hemp) captures CO2 directly from the atmosphere.  For every ton above ground, another half a ton is stored in the soil as root mass. Using the tonnage grown for product manufacturing captures the CO2 for the life of the product.  A mere 214 million acres would help make a difference.
