We are bringing the R-2 Hemp Stalk Processing System to market. Farm equipment fabrication machine shops in Ontario are building units for 2020. We've been cutting steel and building machines.
Video clip of the R-2 hemp stalk processing system:
This new R-2 design is based partly upon decorticator machines built for other crops, such as banana, pineapple, sisal and palm. Hemp patents from the 1940's 1950's and 1960's were included in the design; updated with modern CAD design and material specifications. Advances made over the past seventy years are significant when it comes to building farm equipment to handle hemp crops.
You can see the entire AutoCAD system design fully completed via the Cutting Steel link below. This will show you the engineering layout of the unit. Prototypes and full scale machine heads were built last year. Commerical decorticator assembly and testing is almost completed. The full scale system is shipping Real Soon Now.
Progress on the project has picked up steam over the past month. Serious upgrades have been made with corresponding design changes. A significant decision is to include a bale unwinder as an integrated component. This ensures that the unit will be fully functional upon arrival. A local company makes these units an "off the shelf" decision. You will be able to load a bale immediately and begin work - without buying a suitable bale ripper or trying to make existing equipment "work".
R-2 decorticator machine-head system is being built into a 40' "high cube" shipping container unit which includes all critical functions: power, input, processing, throughput, fire system, dust control & waste handling. This is a self-contained, semi-portable integrated unit designed to be run outdoors. You are welcome to install the R-2 in an outbuilding for year round processing. Product specifications include the following list of features, systems and assemblies included in the system.
This year, 2020 we are offering a co-operative alliance to hemp growers / processors. The first ten machines are reserved for Alliance Members. We do have spots open for new members as of February 14th. Alliance Members will receive on going benefits from this strategic alliance. In exchange, we request operational reports, field testing and duty cycling. Any changes, modifications or upgrades will be incorporated for all Alliance Members prior to final CNC files & specs for mass production. Alliance Members will also be offered materials contracts for fibre and core production.
As this project proceeds, we are updating our Alliance Members on a regular basis. Site members (via the Strategic Alliance page) can review the R-2 project and receive membership information.
